You Were Not Born to Be a Proverbs 31 Woman. How an Open Head Center Keeps You Stuck in Spiritual Perfectionism
"You are allowed to outgrow a theology that does not fit your nervous system."
Let’s tell the truth.
For a lot of us, Proverbs 31 was not just scripture.
It was an assignment.
Be up before the sun.
Serve everyone.
Never complain.
Smile through it all.
And call that purpose.
We memorized the verses.
We performed the role.
And no matter how much we gave, it never felt like enough.
Because it was not purpose. It was perfectionism wrapped in spiritual language.
How the pressure got in
You want to know how it gets in?
For many women, it starts young.
You are told this is the goal.
You hear it in church. You hear it in family. You hear it in the community.
And if you have an Open Head Center in Human Design?
That message does not just pass through you.
You absorb it. You amplify it. You carry it.
An Open Head makes you sensitive to everyone else’s doubts and questions.
If no one around you ever questioned the church itself?
You probably never did either.
Instead, you built your identity around someone else’s expectations.
You took on questions that were not even yours.
And your mind became a container for noise that was never meant to stay there.
Spiritual perfectionism is not purpose
You want to know why you are tired?
Because perfectionism was never yours to carry.
But when spiritual communities tie your worth to performance, you internalize that hustle.
Be godly enough.
Be wife enough.
Be mother enough.
Be servant enough.
And every time you fall short of the impossible standard, you blame yourself.
It is spiritual gaslighting at its finest.
They hand you a framework.
They tell you it is truth.
They praise you for performing it.
Meanwhile, your body is burning out.
Your nervous system is unraveling.
And your mind is anything but clear.
How an Open Head traps you in the loop
Here is where Human Design saved me from myself.
An Open Head Center is not the problem.
It is beautiful when it is clear.
It can see possibilities others cannot.
It can think creatively.
It can hold multiple perspectives.
But when it is full of noise from spiritual conditioning?
It becomes a trap.
You stay stuck trying to answer questions you were never meant to carry.
Am I godly enough?
Am I doing enough?
Am I enough?
You replay the sermons.
You second-guess your choices.
You sit in mental loops trying to solve problems that are not even yours.
That is how the Open Head turns into spiritual perfectionism.
You are allowed to outgrow a theology that burns you out
Let me say it plain.
You are allowed to outgrow a theology that does not fit your nervous system.
If the framework you were handed leaves you tired, bitter, and burned out,
That is not purpose.
You do not owe anyone your silence.
You do not owe any system your burnout.
And you damn sure do not owe your spirit to a script that erases you.
The Proverbs 31 Woman was never your north star.
You are allowed to lay it down.
What it means to clear the noise
So what does it look like to clear the noise and come back to clarity?
First, you have to name it.
Name that what you internalized was conditioning, not truth.
Second, you have to create space.
An Open Head needs quiet to recalibrate.
Not more study. Not more sermons. Not more trying to get it right.
Third, you have to rebuild trust in your own knowing.
In your body.
In your clarity.
In your actual alignment.
Because when your mind is not your own, your alignment never will be.
How Human Design helps you come back to yourself
This is where Human Design gives you permission.
It shows you how your mind was designed to operate.
It helps you see what conditioning you absorbed.
And it gives you a path back to clarity.
When you understand your Open Head, you stop trying to hold everyone else’s questions.
You stop tying your worth to spiritual hustle.
You stop performing godliness and start living your truth.
You were not born to be a Proverbs 31 Woman.
You were born to be whole.
You do not have to keep performing
If this is hitting in your mind or sitting heavy in your chest, it is because your body already knows.
You were never meant to live a life that erases you.
Your Human Design shows you how to clear the noise and return to what is true for you.
